The state exam is only required for individuals who submit an AGENCY (COMPANY) APPLICATION. This course is a pathway to becoming licensed. Once the Board approves examination candidates, the approved candidates will be notified by the company that administers the exams, PSI. We do not have copies of the exam. We are not given copies of the state exam. The course content will cover a broad range of material, and you will learn a ton – however, there is additional study and work to do to prepare for the state examination.

When can I take the Private Detective Exam?
Once the Board approves examination candidates, the approved candidates will be notified by the administrator of the exams, PSI. Candidates not approved for the exam will be notified within two weeks after the Board meeting.
When is the next Private Detective Exam?
PSI administers exams for the Board. Once the Board approves you for the appropriate exam, you will be notified in writing by PSI, along with instructions on how to register online for the next exam. PSI maintains its exam schedules, and exams are given frequently. There are many choices of dates and locations available.
What study materials are available to prepare for the exam?
There are no study materials provided by the Board other than the Georgia Law and Board Rules.
